DW is taking the Transformers universe in a bold new direction. After the events of the previous series, The Autobots no longer wage battles to destroy the evil forces of the Decepticons, as the cartoon theme song once said. The war between the Autobots and the Decepticons is finally over. The Matrix was used to purge Cybertron, and the planet has reverted to a primordial state. Also, Optimus Prime has apparently retired, leaving Cybertron to explore the galaxy. In the remnants of the Matrix, the Autobots discover a star map that appears to lead to Cyberutopia, the home of the legendary Knights of Cybertron.

My Top Ten Films of 2011 (In No Particular Order)

This was an awesome film where Paul Giamatti's character took in a troubled teen who was an excellent high school wrestler. Giamatti's one of my favorite actors, and everyone in this film was awesome.

Excellent acting by Leonardo Dicaprio, excellent directing by Clint Eastwood, will Leo finally get that Best Actor Oscar?

I know this was on some people's Worst of 2011 lists, but I freaking loved this film. Bateman, Day, and Sudeikis are good in this, Spacey and Farrell are total jerks, and Jennifer Aniston is awesome in this film.

Yeah, it's kinda chick-flicky, so what? Steve Carell is hilarious, Marisa Tomei is awesome, Julianne Moore is good, and Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling are also great in this film. It was funny and touching.

Yeah, it's sappy, but it's Steven Spielberg sappy. That means it looks awesome, the performances are great, and it makes you feel good. I thought War Horse was awesome.

X-Men First Class

The first X-Men film that I have liked since X2, it combined superhero hijinks, 60s political intrigue, and a very awesome cast. Sequel, please!!

Yeah, it's a Christian film. It also has a message about dads taking an active role in their home and in their children's lives. We praise every edgy and suggestive film, so I wanted to give praise to a positive film.

Don't sleep on this film, it's awesome. An awesome adaptation of an awesome book. Matthew McConaughey decided to actually care about giving a good performance again, and I am grateful. Also, Marisa Tomei, John Leguizamo, and Ryan Phillipe give solid performances in this film.

This is a British film about British street kids who have to join forces with the woman that they just mugged to protect their apartment complex and neighborhood from invading aliens. Isn't that an awesome sentence?! The movie is even more awesome. And Nick Frost from Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz is in it.

Bridesmaids

Again, a lot of people didn't care for this, but I loved it. Kristen Wiig, Mya Rudolph, and Melissa McCarthy were hilarious to me in this film. It's on my best of list. Deal with it.

Honorable Mentions:

I thought this film was good, not great, but it has my favorite British comedy duo of Simon Pegg and Nick Frost in it. Also, Kristen Wiig, Blythe Danner, Sigourney Weaver, and Seth Rogen as Paul. This film almost made me forget about Seth Rogen's abysmal Green Hornet film...almost.

Michael Rappaport, as it turns out, is a big hip-hop fan. He directed this phenomenal DVD about the history of popular 90s hip-hop group A Tribe Called Quest. A detailed and unapologetic film, you see the group at their highs and lows and even at points where they were nearly at each other's throats. I never got to see them live, so I will gladly settle for this awesome documentary which I already own on DVD. Shout out to my girlfriend Lyncola for the awesome Christmas present.

So, this is my list. I know that many of you may disagree. I respect your right to loathe and despise this list. Hey, if you think I'm totally off my rocker, make your own darn list!! Be easy, readers.
